£186.75 raised at Buster's Coffee Morning & Playtime for The National Canine Cancer Foundati

Recently one of my lovely customer's dog Buster sadly passed away due to having a Brain tumor.

I decided to raise money in honor of Buster and to donate it to The National Canine Cancer Foundation. Sadly 1 in 3 dogs get cancer so I really wanted to raise awareness and help fund research.

With the help of friends and family I held a very successful Doggie Coffee Morning & Playtime.

It was so much fun, with a great turn out and we raised £186.75 that day!

I was lucky enough to be on BBC Radio Cambridge in the morning to chat alittle bit about Buster, canine cancer and the coffee morning.

The event was open to the public, all were welcome, dogs and people alike. I held it at Mutt Meadow in St Ives and within the couple hours we were there, we had a wonderful time with lots of cake, doggie cake, tea, coffee, chatting, dogs playing. We had some agility equipment out for the dogs and owners to have a go at. Some great professional photos were taken. we had games like "Guess the number of dog treats in the jar" and "Name the dog teddy bear".

I had a lovely time socilaing with my customers out of work hours and meeting lots of new people. Particularlly interesting and touching to chat with other dog owners who's dogs had cancer.

It was also a real sight to see so many dogs all in one area playing together. I should think there was around 25 dogs who came and about 50 people over the course of the 2 hours. There were people there who heard me on the radio and came down, my lovely customers and other Professional Dog Walker friends. The atmosphere was buzzing.

I want to give a massive thank you to my Husband Nathan who I couldn't of done this without his help. And to thank those who donated, made cakes, help set up the event and for all the support I had.

I'm still taking donations, to donate please follow this link: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/companionpetcareservices
